Managing members, roles, and invites

Invite teammates, manage Admin, responder, reviewer, and data owner access, and preserve least privilege.

Choose the narrowest useful role

Privacy request work often involves sensitive personal data. Give members the access they need for their responsibility and avoid using Admin as a default role.

  • Reserve Admin access for workspace settings and membership management.
  • Use responder, reviewer, or data owner access for workflow participation.
  • Review active members and roles on a recurring schedule.

Manage invite lifecycle

Invites should be tracked from creation through acceptance, expiration, revocation, or resend. Deactivate access promptly when a person no longer needs the workspace.

  • Review pending invites and revoke stale ones.
  • Confirm the invite email matches the intended recipient.
  • Keep at least one active Admin in the workspace.
