Reviewing identity verification

Record human approval, evidence notes, failed or incomplete verification, and minimization decisions.

Keep verification human-approved

Verification decisions should be reviewed by an authorized person. Record what was checked, the outcome, and whether more information is needed before fulfillment can proceed.

  • Mark verification complete only after required checks are satisfied.
  • Use incomplete or failed statuses when account matching is not sufficient.
  • Avoid collecting more verification material than the request needs.

Preserve useful context

Verification notes should help future reviewers understand the operational decision. Keep them factual and avoid unnecessary sensitive detail.

  • Document evidence categories rather than copying sensitive values into notes.
  • Record requester follow-up requests and responses.
  • Escalate unusual verification scenarios to the right internal reviewer.
