Use the company portal
Start from the privacy request link provided by the company you want to contact. The portal records the request type, your contact information, and the details the responder needs to find your account or records.
- Use an email address you can access during the full request process.
- Select the request type that best matches what you want the company to do.
- Include account, product, order, or customer details that help the company identify the right records.
Keep the request focused
A focused request helps the responder review it faster and ask fewer follow-up questions. Avoid uploading sensitive documents unless the responder specifically requests them for verification or fulfillment.
- Describe the request in plain language.
- Do not include passwords, full payment numbers, or unrelated personal details.
- Save the confirmation reference for later support conversations.
Example: give the team a useful starting point
A request such as “Please provide a copy of the personal information associated with my account for your online shop, including my orders from last year” gives the team a clearer starting point than “Send everything.” You do not need legal terminology to explain what you want.
- Check the company name before you submit; this portal sends the request to that company.
- Review your email address carefully so follow-up messages reach you.
- If the page loses its connection after you submit, check for a confirmation before trying again. A connection error does not always mean the request failed.
